Effective August 14, 2026
15509947 Canada Inc. operates TranslateMom and is responsible for the collection and use of information described in this Privacy Policy. You can contact us at hello@translate.mom.
We handle information you provide when you use TranslateMom, including account details, media, links, transcripts, translations, task settings, and support requests. Our systems and service providers may also process technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service, such as device, browser, network, log, and usage information.
We use information to provide, maintain, secure, support, and improve TranslateMom. We may share information with service providers that process it on our behalf, when required by law, or when needed to protect users, TranslateMom, or the public. We do not sell Chrome extension data or use it for personalized advertising.
When you open the TranslateMom Chrome extension, it temporarily reads the active tab's URL to determine whether the page is a supported X/Twitter, TikTok, or Instagram video. This check runs locally in the extension. The extension does not read tabs in the background or store your page URLs or browsing history.
If you click Translate this video, the extension removes query parameters and
fragments from the page URL, then opens TranslateMom's New Task page with the normalized URL
prefilled. The URL is transmitted to www.translate.mom over HTTPS only after that click.
You can review it before submitting a task. The extension does not collect analytics, account credentials,
page content, or a persistent identifier.
The extension does not retain active-tab URLs. A URL you choose to hand off is handled like other information you enter into TranslateMom. Production transfers use HTTPS. You can avoid sharing a URL by closing the popup without clicking the handoff button, and you can remove the extension at any time. Contact hello@translate.mom with access, correction, or deletion questions.
TranslateMom's use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use active-tab information only to provide the extension's user-facing New Task handoff and do not transfer it for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or unrelated purposes.
We may update this Privacy Policy as TranslateMom changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date above.
