I mean, I’ll be completely honest, I still maintain that I was the best European runner in the 800-meter event, uh, in Europe, along with Elise, definitely, one hundred percent.

[0:12](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/2pow66m9Ssb3/en/steeplechase-runner-on-her-fall-missed-medal-and-los-angeles-goal?t=12) I think I deserved the medal. Nevertheless, a fall like that must not happen.

[0:17](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/2pow66m9Ssb3/en/steeplechase-runner-on-her-fall-missed-medal-and-los-angeles-goal?t=17) It’s stupid. How did that happen? Well, I mean, you’re aware that Gesa isn’t going to do anything for a meter, like that. She’s simply, um, yeah, she sits it out and runs out at the back. Finou does the same, she isn’t super fit.

[0:32](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/2pow66m9Ssb3/en/steeplechase-runner-on-her-fall-missed-medal-and-los-angeles-goal?t=32) I was waiting for it. In that moment, I thought, Stay alert now. I was. Of course, I could feel Elise coming. And I know Elise really well. I know she’s strong.

[0:43](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/2pow66m9Ssb3/en/steeplechase-runner-on-her-fall-missed-medal-and-los-angeles-goal?t=43) Um, yeah, and before you know it, you’re lying there.

[0:46](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/2pow66m9Ssb3/en/steeplechase-runner-on-her-fall-missed-medal-and-los-angeles-goal?t=46) It’s just— I thought I’d make it to the barrier.

[0:49](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/2pow66m9Ssb3/en/steeplechase-runner-on-her-fall-missed-medal-and-los-angeles-goal?t=49) I didn't quite make it. Just stupid. Even so, I think, I mean, today the best competitors won. Nevertheless, I still say that by LA at the latest, I'll be Germany's record holder, and I'll be among Europe's elite. And, um, yes, I've fallen dozens of times already. A medal would've been nice, but, um,

[1:11](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/2pow66m9Ssb3/en/steeplechase-runner-on-her-fall-missed-medal-and-los-angeles-goal?t=71) yes, nevertheless, I mean, the two up front are clearly older than I am, and they deserve it now, too.

[1:15](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/2pow66m9Ssb3/en/steeplechase-runner-on-her-fall-missed-medal-and-los-angeles-goal?t=75) So, all the best. I have nothing more to say, then let's look to the future, and all the best to you.
