[0:00](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/5noNJf62Dg1g/en/why-school-doesn-t-teach-money-and-real-world-skills) 12 years of school and they never taught you a single thing about how the real world works.

[0:05](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/5noNJf62Dg1g/en/why-school-doesn-t-teach-money-and-real-world-skills?t=5) Not one class on taxes, building wealth, starting a business, negotiating salary, managing money.

[0:11](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/5noNJf62Dg1g/en/why-school-doesn-t-teach-money-and-real-world-skills?t=11) Nothing that would actually help you survive, let alone thrive.

[0:14](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/5noNJf62Dg1g/en/why-school-doesn-t-teach-money-and-real-world-skills?t=14) Instead, you memorized the Pythagorean theorem and forgot it a week later.

[0:18](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/5noNJf62Dg1g/en/why-school-doesn-t-teach-money-and-real-world-skills?t=18) That wasn't education, that was time theft.

[0:21](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/5noNJf62Dg1g/en/why-school-doesn-t-teach-money-and-real-world-skills?t=21) They took 12 years of your life and filled your head with information designed to make you obedient, not successful.

[0:26](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/5noNJf62Dg1g/en/why-school-doesn-t-teach-money-and-real-world-skills?t=26) The entire system was built to produce workers, not thinkers.

[0:29](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/5noNJf62Dg1g/en/why-school-doesn-t-teach-money-and-real-world-skills?t=29) People who follow instructions, show up on time, do what they're told without asking why.

[0:33](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/5noNJf62Dg1g/en/why-school-doesn-t-teach-money-and-real-world-skills?t=33) And if you were naturally curious or questioned authority, they labeled you a problem and tried to medicate it out of you.

[0:39](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/5noNJf62Dg1g/en/why-school-doesn-t-teach-money-and-real-world-skills?t=39) The goal was never to prepare you for life. The goal was to prepare you for employment.

[0:44](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/5noNJf62Dg1g/en/why-school-doesn-t-teach-money-and-real-world-skills?t=44) To make you just smart enough to operate the machines, but not smart enough to question why you're operating them.

[0:49](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/5noNJf62Dg1g/en/why-school-doesn-t-teach-money-and-real-world-skills?t=49) And anybody who understands social engineering knows the education system is the first line of indoctrination.

[0:55](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/5noNJf62Dg1g/en/why-school-doesn-t-teach-money-and-real-world-skills?t=55) You didn't fail school. School failed you, deliberately.
