[0:04](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/YW6wxYsbYaFU/en/griffon-vulture-killed-in-allg%C3%A4u-afd-criticizes-wind-power?t=4) A rare griffon vulture has now been killed by a wind turbine in Warmesried in the Allgäu.

[0:10](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/YW6wxYsbYaFU/en/griffon-vulture-killed-in-allg%C3%A4u-afd-criticizes-wind-power?t=10) A great bird, a success story in conservation, because it was reintroduced, it had already gone extinct, and now these few animals are being killed by wind turbines.

[0:21](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/YW6wxYsbYaFU/en/griffon-vulture-killed-in-allg%C3%A4u-afd-criticizes-wind-power?t=21) A wingspan of over two meters, unbelievable, a great animal, but of course it is not the only one, it is just an example right now, of what was killed last week. The suffering of these animals when they are struck by the rotors,

[0:37](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/YW6wxYsbYaFU/en/griffon-vulture-killed-in-allg%C3%A4u-afd-criticizes-wind-power?t=37) fall down, and are not dead immediately, can drag on for days.

[0:41](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/YW6wxYsbYaFU/en/griffon-vulture-killed-in-allg%C3%A4u-afd-criticizes-wind-power?t=41) And of course it also affects other birds, storks, birds of prey, it affects bats, thousands upon thousands of insects every day in Germany alone.

[0:52](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/YW6wxYsbYaFU/en/griffon-vulture-killed-in-allg%C3%A4u-afd-criticizes-wind-power?t=52) That is why we from the AfD say, enough with this insane energy transition, enough with wind turbines in the landscape, especially there in the Allgäu, more wind turbines are now being planned, that is against species and nature conservation. That is also against a sensible power supply, because we

[1:07](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/YW6wxYsbYaFU/en/griffon-vulture-killed-in-allg%C3%A4u-afd-criticizes-wind-power?t=67) need baseload-capable energy that always delivers, not only when the wind blows and, above all, is cheap. Germany has the most expensive electricity prices in all of Europe, and that is why we say nature conservation, homeland, animal welfare and for that we finally need a blue policy that changes this to something sensible.
