[0:00](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill) Darren, when we started working together in 2022, I was just a skinny young Italian guy with a lot of questions.

[0:07](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=7) You never gave me all the answers. You helped me find them myself.

[0:11](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=11) You came in as one of my coaches. Pretty quickly, you became a lot more than that.

[0:16](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=16) Someone I could trust, someone I could rely on, a friend.

[0:20](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=20) Melbourne, the first slam, number one, Wimbledon.

[0:24](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=24) I could keep going. We've been through so much together.

[0:27](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=27) You told me you would stop after 2025, and somehow I couldn't seem to get rid of you.

[0:33](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=33) But the trophies aren't what I will remember the most.

[0:36](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=36) It's everything around them. The long hours on the practice court, the flights, the dinners, the laugh.

[0:43](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=43) Even the days when everything felt heavy, you were there for all of it.

[0:47](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=47) I always knew I was in good hands. Not just me, everyone who travels with us, everyone behind the scenes.

[0:55](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=55) With you, we are more than a team. You've taught me a lot.

[0:59](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=59) That tennis is important, but it's not everything.

[1:01](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=61) That being a good player starts with being a good person, and that complicated things can be simple.

[1:07](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=67) I hope I taught you something too, like how to hit a golf ball.

[1:12](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=72) I'm going to miss looking up after a big point and seeing you in my box.

[1:17](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=77) This season didn't end the way we wanted, but that doesn't change what we did or what these years mean to me.

[1:24](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=84) To your family, thank you for sharing Darren with us.

[1:28](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=88) I know what it asks of you. I don't take it for granted.

[1:31](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=91) So much of who I am as a player and as a person I owe to you.

[1:36](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=96) Five seasons. I won't forget a single day of them.

[1:40](https://www.translate.mom/transcript/aWuzTnohOkxj/en/jannik-sinner-pays-tribute-to-coach-darren-cahill?t=100) Thank you, mate, for everything. It's been a privilege.
