— We often say that we want to figure out what kind of world we live in.

That is exactly why,

and I have already spoken on this topic several times here,

we proceed from the idea that the United States must

explain what their plans are, and how all this relates

to what previously, in fact, defined certain norms.

For example, President Putin

quite a long time ago, even before Covid, by the way, proposed convening

a summit of the permanent members of the UN Security Council.

It seems to me that now is the perfect time to implement such an idea.

What kind of world are we all living in now anyway?

And is this world viable going forward, considering…

what is happening in other parts of the world,

embracing more and more new regions?

Well, in the history of humankind even crazier things have happened.

But there has never been a weapon of such power.

It is just that we did not live back then,

so it seems to us that now is the end of the world.

But the fact that there has been a significant destabilization of the region,

and that such a cumulative effect

is setting in from the huge number of regional conflicts and unresolved problems,

which spill over into economic consequences and into political consequences…

Unfortunately, we have all been deprived of what we call international law.

To be honest, right now I do not even understand how

to call on anyone to follow the norms and principles of international law.

It practically does not exist anymore. De jure it exists,

but de facto it no longer exists. And what law has replaced international law,

to be honest,

hardly anyone right now would be able to say. You can only, you know,

discuss this in political science terms,

but no one will give a clear definition. So Putin is right:

against the backdrop of this perfect storm that has now begun,

we need to focus on ourselves, on our interests, on our potential.

Where it is lacking, it needs to be built up,

and we must think hard and stay focused.
