Yemeni Armed Forces Statement on Airstrikes

Statement issued by the Armed Forces

Yemeni. In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

God Almighty said, “O you who believe,

if you support God, He will support you and make your footing firm.”

God Almighty has spoken the truth. The

Saudi warplanes launched more than 450

air raids this week using F-15 and Typhoon aircraft

that took off from Khamis Mushait and Taif bases.

They targeted the governorates of Taiz, Lahij,

Al-Jawf, Hajjah, Marib, Saada, and Al-Bayda,

killing and wounding civilians.

In confronting this brutal aggression against our country

and our people, the Yemeni Armed Forces,

with God's help and grace, succeeded in downing

a Saudi F-15 warplane while it was

carrying out hostile acts in support of military mobilization

in the skies of Marib Governorate, using a surface-to-

air missile made locally. In a related development,

With the help of God Almighty, the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out

a defensive operation against two Saudi combat formations

of F-15 and Typhoon aircraft in the skies of Marib

using locally made missiles

It was searching for the wreckage of the downed aircraft.

It was forced to retreat, thanks to God.

The Yemeni armed forces will continue to protect

our country's airspace and safeguard its sovereignty from any

aggression or violation by every available means, and

Yemen's skies will not be violated, God willing.
