Military Parade Commemorating WWII Heroes

Colonel Pavel Sinishin. In the harsh years of the war, about

eleven thousand officers went to the front, fourteen of

them were Heroes of the Soviet Union. Among the cadets are

descendants of frontline heroes.

The servicemen of the honor guard company are marching past

of the Polish Armed Forces. The contribution to the fight against

fascism made by the Polish Army, whose troops

fought the Nazis on the territory of the Soviet Union,

took part in the capture of Berlin and the Victory Parade

of 1945 in Moscow.

The servicemen of the British Army are marching past.

These are guardsmen of the elite Welsh Regiment, who are assigned

to guard Buckingham Palace in London.

During the war, their predecessors in the regiment

fought against fascism.

On Red Square are officers and soldiers

of the Armed Forces of the United States of America.

They represent a formation that took part in

the opening of the second front in Europe and the world-famous

meeting with Soviet troops on the

Elbe.
