Trump's Decision on Iran and Regional Tensions

It is not Iran alone awaiting Trump's decision, but

the entire region is watching. Meanwhile, escalation continues in

the Strait of Hormuz, as the midterm elections

for Congress draw near.

Trump says a decision on Iran will be made soon,

giving it two options: a diplomatic agreement through

negotiations or ending the war through military action.

I have a decision I will make regarding Iran, which has been

devastated. The question remains: Will we end this the

easy way or the hard way?

The date of the decision remains undecided, as does its content,

Trump had previously suggested the war would end after the midterm elections,

without ruling out that it could end before then.

The U.S. Secretary of War also confirmed that Trump is keeping all

options open, and that the mission against Iran

will not go on indefinitely, despite acknowledging that it

is unlike previous wars.

In the Strait of Hormuz, pressure signals continue. Attacks

target ships and oil tankers, while Iran’s Tasnim agency reported that

air defenses shot down a drone

On Qeshm Island in the south of the country.

Washington, meanwhile, continues to rely on economic pressure.

By the end of this week, Iran will not be able to export

a single barrel of oil from its ports or earn revenue from

its exports, says the U.S. Treasury secretary.

For the first time in history, since Iran began pumping oil, there will be no

barrels of oil available for export from its ports by the end of this

week. They will have no revenue.

Military messages from Tehran also continue,

as do political ones. Tasnim News Agency quoted an adviser to the commander of the

IRGC Aerospace Force as saying that the United States

is struggling to secure its stockpile of interceptor missiles,

and that his country is capable of continuing to fight

for as long as necessary.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that

the Strait of Hormuz will not reopen until all of his country's

seven conditions, listed in the Islamabad memorandum of understanding, are met.

Contrary to Washington's claims in the media, the Americans submitted

Proposals through intermediaries, but they must realize that the era

of wasting time and imposing unilateral demands is over, and that

our country's position is clear and unequivocal. The Strait of Hormuz will not open

until our seven conditions set out in the Islamabad memorandum are met.

Between pressure and threats, attention turns to

further U.S. military buildup in the region,

alongside Washington's accusation that Tehran derailed the latest

diplomatic track.

The Strait of Hormuz exerts pressure, and the U.S. elections are nearing,

with Trump's decision between them, which could chart the course

of the next phase.
