Before this report, we must warn that its

content may be distressing for some viewers.

Based on exclusive information received by Iran International,

two nurses at Rajai Heart Hospital in Tehran,

who were arrested on the 18th of Dey for trying to treat protesters,

were subjected to the most severe forms of torture and sexual assault.

The severity of the sexual abuse was such that both nurses lost part of their

intestines in surgery and now live with colostomy bags.

On the 18th of Dey, security forces, after entering Rajai Heart

Hospital and after shooting at the wounded, ordered the medical staff to

refrain from treating all the injured.

About half of the 30 staff members and nurses at the hospital disobeyed this order,

and seven nurses continued treating the wounded.

The defiance of these seven nurses led to their beating and transfer to the

lower floors of the hospital.

According to information obtained by Iran International,

two nurses were shot in front of their colleagues’ eyes by security forces

and killed. Their bodies were found days later in Kahrizak. They took us down to the

lower floor of the hospital, into the storage section. They shot two of the nurses

right there.

They killed two people before our eyes. The most horrifying part of this incident

is the sexual assaults on the nurses.

The five surviving nurses are arrested. Two of the nurses are subjected,

during arrest, to torture and group sexual assaults. In some cases,

foreign objects were used to rape them.

According to information we have received,

the severity of the injuries was such that it led to removal of part of the

intestine and placement of a colostomy bag for both nurses. A colostomy bag

is a pouch through which stool exits the body.

Also, due to severe internal tears,

the uterus of one of the nurses was completely removed,

and the other nurse also faces a risk of She is facing complete removal of

her uterus.

Information obtained by Iran International shows that one of the detained nurses,

identified by the initials“ R.

Z,” has been subjected to repeated sexual abuse.

According to information received by Iran International,

on days when this nurse was not raped,

she and one hundred other women were taken to a high place and all of them

were pushed into a pit.

They would take us to the top of a height and keep us there. Our eyes were closed,

but we could feel that we were at a height.

Suddenly they would push everyone on top of each other into a pit.

We could not breathe, we could not move. It was very cramped, it felt like

suffocation.

According to the information we have received,

in order to cover up these events,

the security agencies put pressure on the families of those detained.

The family of one of the nurses

was forced to pay large sums of money and draw up a fake temporary

marriage contract with an

intelligence officer so that So that the grounds for her release would be prepared.

At the same time, the nurses were made to sign a pledge that after their release

they would state that the sexual assaults were carried out by the protesters.

Iran International has learned that before one of the nurses

was taken to the operating room, she repeatedly asked the doctors not to let her

stay alive. She said that if she left the operating room alive,

she would commit suicide. Based on this information, this nurse is currently

hospitalized and to prevent her from harming herself,

her hands have been tied to the bed,

while at the same time she is under strict surveillance by security forces.
