Importance of Quran Recitation and Understanding

My dear and esteemed friends, greetings. For purifying this heart,

two remedies have been prescribed.

دوه نسخی ښودلي.

The first remedy is frequent recitation of the Quran.

A person should recite the Holy Quran. If someone has learned it, that is good.

Otherwise, go and sit with a mullah or a hafiz.

There is no need to be ashamed.

This is what I say to you Pashtuns:

Will a person be shameless in religion and go to Paradise? Is that how it is?

Being shameless in religion means setting aside your shame and coming to sit with the mullah.

Sit with the imam.

If the imam does not teach it to you, then he is certainly sinful.

And if you do not come, then you will be sinful.

On the Day of Judgment, the blessed Messenger of Allah will

make a complaint against the members of his community.

“O Lord, my God! My people, my

community, had abandoned the Quran.

They had not learned the Quran.”

The Quran will complain against us: “O Allah, they did not value me.

نه و راکړي،

O Allah, they did not open me.” Make this effort, and the mullah

should also make the effort to begin teaching you the translation.

He should begin it, begin the translation.

Understands the Quran’s words and its meaning.

Oh, how delightful the Quran is. Glory be to God.

Once you understand the Quran’s delight, all other pleasures will be forgotten.
