Discussion on the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah

The clear victory

is not about Uhud, Badr, Khandaq, or Tabuk.

It is about the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah.

Sometimes,

the fruits of a proper compromise

are greater than hundreds of wars.

This blessed figure—

in this story of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah—my remarks went on for too long,

excuse me,

otherwise I would recount its story. One of the greatest

companions of the Prophet, who later became the source

of great impact in the history of Islam,

says, "I doubted this man's prophethood once,

and that was during the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah."

He comes and confronts the Prophet,

saying, "Are we not

in the right?"

The Prophet says, "This is divine wisdom."

Less than

three years later,

comes the conquest of Mecca and the final victory of Islam.
