COVID Vaccines at Pharmacies: Distribution and Waste Update
Yeah. So we have, um, expanded
our influenza, RSV, and COVID
programs. Uh, part of the issue that, uh-- And so we, we
did an a-announcement on that, uh, a couple of weeks ago.
We are, um, having COVID vaccines be
administered through pharmacies now.
Um, part of the reason for that was that they're now in individual vials,
and so
there's going to be less wastage. We were able to bring the wastage down from
over
fifty percent to, uh,d-over-- to just over twenty percent last year.
So we're gonna be monitoring that this year.
But we have, um, uh, launched a system.
People could have started, uh, booking their, uh,
their shots starting October
the fifth. I understand that, uh, the, the, uh, vaccine was
rolling out October nineteenth. Some got it earlier,
and we did tell them if they
wanted to-- if they got it earlier, they should be administering it earlier.
But we make sure that with our vaccination program,
that it is targeted
to the most at-risk individuals.
