The main male and female firefighters, commanders, officers,

Deputy Commissioner Ronen Maktab, Honorary Commissioner and Fire and Rescue Commissioner, Rav Tafsar Eyal Caspi.

I want to pause for a moment and tell you, from all my heart, thank you.

In every arena, at the front line, in the rear, in every place where there is emergency, from operations,

you are the first to arrive, without hesitation, without fear, with unparalleled courage.

You risk your lives to save civilians, working around the clock.

You go into battles that others run away from, in order to save lives, to save families.

I see you, I hear the stories, and I know this is not just a job, it is first and foremost a calling.

A huge, huge thank you to your spouses, to your sweet families,

who, in the name of paying the full price, wait anxiously at home, sharing in your courage and dedication.

You are not only firefighters, you are the beating heart of Israel’s resilience.

You are the pride of the people of Israel, and it is my great privilege to be your minister,

to stand behind you, to strengthen you, and to make sure you receive all the tools, backing, and appreciation that you deserve.

All of the people of Israel salute you.

Thank you.
