Testimony of a Former Prisoner

Awn was shocked by the news, and it was his chance to defend

his hometown more effectively and show his torturer the difference between

a fighter and a killer.

They told me about Ammar, so I went to him. I went and visited him,

gave him expense money, and greeted him.

He expected that we would, in fact, take revenge on him.

But our morals and our path are not a vengeful path or

a path of

torture or anything like that. I went, visited him, and greeted him.

And Ammar is still here to this day.

By God, it was a difficult situation, I mean, to

face a person whom you had tortured by all

means of torture.

Honestly, you surprised me.

This is not a passing shot or a frozen moment.

Awn Allah Ahmed Al-Tayri is one of those affiliated with the Army and Popular

Committees, from Yarim in Ibb Governorate.

He spent four years of his life in prison cells

held by the murderous and ruthless groups of the aggression’s mercenaries in

Taiz.

Four years filled with every kind of torture.

I ended up in Taiz before

May 2015. The method of torture was torment, I mean,

every kind of torment. They tortured us to the utmost degree for a year while we were under

Torture.

A year later, they transferred us to

Ammar.

Ammar beat and tortured us. He beat me

until he broke my leg. A month after he broke it,

it was still broken, the bone separated from the bone.

On top of that, he beat, tortured, and drilled us from

after dawn prayers until nine in the morning, nine thirty.

He made us sit. You were forbidden to lean your back against the wall or forbidden

to stretch out, from after dawn prayers until after evening prayers.

Awn was freed from captivity, and time passed quickly.

Awn's jailer became a prisoner in the hands of the Army's Knights

and the Committees. The prisoner-jailer, in turn, found what he had not

expected: good treatment,

despite expecting, at the very least, to be treated

in kind.

I expected, at the very least, for our friend to get beaten up, at the very least,

I mean.

For the torture.

For the torture he and his colleagues inflicted on us.

I went to

the Public Prosecution in Taiz Governorate.

I send a message

to all the fighters fighting in the ranks of the aggression, especially the Islah

Party.

They should not make any decisions on their own, or carry out any

instructions that are carried out inside

the prisons.

Today, the executioner is captive, and tomorrow, the tortured prisoner is the jailer.

But despite his changed position, he is human.

He is guided by Quranic upbringing

and restrained from taking revenge.

We call on those holding Yemeni sons, those who hold prisoners,

to treat them likewise,

with the morals of Islam, the Quran, and faith.

If they do not have Islamic morals, then at the very

least, they should remember that they are Yemenis, with Yemeni morals, values, and customs.

If they do not heed Islam or incline toward

Islam, this only indicates

the misinformation spread by the Islah Party, intense misinformation, and the policies

affiliated with America and Israel. The policies

pursued by America and Israel are behind these incidents, and they raise

these people to carry out these incidents.

The proof is this person who

worked in one of the prisoners' prisons, and was one

of the Islah Party's cadres

in

Taiz Governorate.

While the mercenaries of the aggression carry out acts

Criminal acts, including killing and torturing army and Popular Committee prisoners

Here, in the area of the army and Popular Committee heroes, there is no retaliation

Instead, they are treated with humane values

And Quranic morals.
