The only one who appoints the head of the Mossad is

the prime minister.

The Mossad and Shin Bet are directly subordinate to the prime minister, by law.

The prime minister is the one who appoints their heads. Not the attorney general,

not the High Court, not the media. Major General Roman Gofman

is a heroic fighter. He is lionhearted.

He is one of the most highly regarded operational commanders in the Israel

Defense Forces. During the War of Revival, with the people as a lion, in the roar

of the lion, Roman demonstrated exceptional leadership.

He showed out- of- the- box thinking. On October seventh, Roman leaped from

his home in Ashdod toward the Gaza envelope.

At the Sha’ar HaNegev junction he encountered Hamas terrorists.

Roman was chosen by me, the prime minister, to be the head of the Mossad

of the State of Israel, and he will lead

the Mossad from strength to strength.
