Protests Against Paper Leak in India

On one hand, while we are celebrating the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan,

on the other hand, those across the country who participated in protests against paper leaks,

are being subjected to a witch hunt.

In Bihar, along with Paliganj MLA Sandeep Saurav, AISA activist comrades Dhananjay,

comrade Dipankar, comrade Saba, and comrade Divyam have been locked up in Beur Jail for about three days.

More than nine cases have been filed against them, including a case of attempt to murder,

all these fake cases are being filed on the basis of a single day's protest.

In different jails across Bihar,

there are reports of more than 100 protesters still being locked up.

Other news is coming from Bengal, where about 14 students

have been locked up in jails for protesting against paper leaks.

Most of these protesters are Muslim students. Suvendu Adhikari,

The Chief Minister of Bengal has declared that

now 70 more people will face such lawsuits, all these arrests,

all these actions are a violation of the government's promise to the protesters,

that promise that no action will be taken against any protester,

that promise that Dharmendra Pradhan would resign and the protest of the students demanding his resignation was justified—this is a violation of all those things.

I am coming to Patna tomorrow to meet those students who have been forcibly locked up in Beur Jail,

to meet those protesters who were lathi-charged by the police, and today the BJP government is backing out of all its promises.

I appeal to all of you, if you are in Patna tomorrow, please come, and I will meet you in Patna.
