Great Syrian people,

peace be upon you and God’s mercy and blessings.

I address you today from the slopes of Mount

Qasioun with congratulations and thanks for the lifting of sanctions on Syria.

For today is the first day of Syria without sanctions, thanks to Almighty God,

then to your efforts and your patience for fourteen years.

Many thanks to everyone who sacrificed and was patient during

the period of the blessed Syrian revolution,

to everyone who inhaled chemical weapons,

and to everyone who emigrated and left his land,

and to everyone who drowned in the seas,

and to the blood of the martyrs whose blood irrigated this blessed land until we

reached this great victory

which was crowned, by the grace of Almighty God,

with the complete lifting of restrictions on Syria.

I also extend my deep and special thanks to President Donald Trump,

President of the United States of America,

for responding to the call of this Syrian people and for the appreciation

shown by the members of Congress for the sacrifices of the Syrian people,

and for their answering their call to lift the sanctions on Syria.

And thanks are also due

to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Prince Tamim bin

Hamad Al Thani.

I would also like to extend my deep thanks to all the Arab countries and

the Islamic and European countries that supported the Syrian people during its war,

and also supported it by lifting the sanctions on it in the last year.

Great Syrian people, today has become your day.

The time of pain has passed and the time of building has begun, God willing.

Hand in hand, we will build this homeland until we reach with it the highest ranks,

God Almighty willing,
