Thanks to our history and thanks to our great civilization

And I am saying that Egypt has decided to open a new chapter at the Egyptian Academy of Civilization Sciences

This Egyptian Museum, we are opening a new chapter for anyone who wants to learn what civilization really means

For anyone who wants to learn what resilience really means

You, in the middle of all the economic conditions that the world is going through

And the wars and conflicts

If you look around at the map of Egypt, you will find conflicts to the right and left, above and below

And at this very moment Egypt has decided to open a museum

Showing people what our civilization looks like

Even if the economic conditions include some difficulties

But we are up to it and we are overcoming them

And if you look even more, at the time when we will open a Museum of Civilization

We have guests from all over the world despite all these circumstances

And we do not call them “guests”

This is Egypt

I mean, this is Egypt, simply, this is Egypt

A place that endures, even when God decides

That the earth and everything on it will end

I am proud to be Egyptian

I am so, so happy with this appreciation, this welcome, and this recognition.

And may God keep this for all of us, for our whole Arab nation.

Not just Egypt.

Because Egypt’s success is a success for the Arab nation.

And the success of any Arab country is a success for Egypt.

We are very happy about this.

And I am from the generation that was raised on…

I used to watch Abdel Halim when he would say “w ḥayāt rabtī” (“I swear on my neck”).

I was raised on that.

So may the success that Egypt has…

That comes to Egypt also come to the entire Arab nation.

The success of any Arab country is the success of the entire Arab nation.

So I hope this will remain forever.
