Protests Against Violence in Taiz

In Taiz, we're holding a protest.

Why is this protest important? Imagine

a siege, shelling,

sniping, large numbers of dead, and targeting.

Then you go out in a demonstration,

a demonstration at the same time.

I think it is very important to activate

the civil movement inside Taiz at this time.

The important thing is, the announced number is forty-

four civilian martyrs from Houthi

shelling and Houthi sniping.

That is, over 26 days,

at a rate of two deaths

every day. Imagine that.

The wounded number 110. Imagine that figure.

These figures are limited

to the front lines in legitimate government areas.

Those under Houthi control,

those killed by the Houthis,

and those

liquidated by the Houthis are far more numerous.

Those under Houthi control exceed this number.

We can't reach them.

Imagine that.

This is over 26 days.

How many families are behind

these wounded people, after all?

Even the wounded, you find

them with amputations,

disabled, suffering from wounds

and illnesses, not just minor injuries.

The tragedy in Taiz is immense,

but our hope in God is greater that

He hasn't left us. He's with us.
