Teaching Vedas to Rajendra Chola

Rajaraja Chola ensured that his son

Rajendra learnt Vedas and Shastras

so that he can become a dharmic king

who is well-versed with our Shastras

and provide good governance.

The Karandai copper plates very specifically mentions

that even at an young age,

Rajendra Chola learnt Vedas and Shastras.
