Martyrdom and Spiritual Reflection

Strike. Strike. Strike.

Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, vanquisher of tyrants and oppressors,

and prayers and peace be upon our master Muhammad, our noble Messenger.

O Lord, take from our blood until You are satisfied, and we ask You, our Lord, to grant us

martyrdom in Your cause, forgiving our sins through it, and granting us the company of our beloved

Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and the companionship of the prophets and martyrs

and the righteous. What excellent companions they are.

O

sword sheathed in

the fields of steadfastness.

It fought the oppressors and fulfilled

its pledges after war.

It departed,

the flood, free and proud,

casting off its shackles. It fills

the enemies with terror

at the footsteps

of lions. Brandished,

it was once a call in

an age of slaves.

In an age

of slaves.

Its edge sings

with longing for

the Gardens of Eternity.

Every death in

the cause of God is a feast

for the martyr.

My beloved father. Life beside the Lord of Glory is the best

life, the finest life. Do not grieve over my parting, for this is

the path, and there is no alternative. My tender, precious mother, may God's mercy

be upon you. I will not forget you as long as I live. And, God willing,

God willing, we will meet in the Gardens of Eternity beside the Prophet, peace be upon him

Peace be upon him. My dear brothers, God willing, we will meet

in the eternal gardens.

A moon in the sky.

A moon in the sky.

For the full moon's dwelling is

the heavens

on high. He was

the protector.

He was the protector.

And a loving father among us,

the most beautiful.

Until we meet in Paradise, God willing. Your brother, a martyr by God's will.

through which sorrows are extinguished.
