see that happening with the rise of far-right
parties in France and Germany today?
Well, uh, that was the idea 20 years ago, that
was the reasoning... ...when he uh didn't want
us. He said, look, I mean, it would give a rise
for uh far-right in Europe. So what happened
was, we have not become a part of uh EU, but
far-right... And the far-right happened anyway.
Anyway. So, we keep telling again, if we had
been a... ...part of European Union, we would
have not seen Brexit... ...and Europe in general
would have been much more resilient in the face
of current uh security... So Turkish membership
in the EU would have would have saved the UK
from Brexit, is what you're saying?
Yeah. Yes, yes and uh saved... How?
And... You know, uh UK was always looking a
broader uh EU because uh... ...they didn't want
to see the, you know, the the the core uh of
uh, you know, the the the power of EU is just
uh... In Brussels. Yeah. So, um, but you know,
uh, it would be a balancing act. Now we are
out of side outside of uh EU on the eastern
and western flank... ...and we are having uh
strategic dialogue with UK because we have same
priorities... ...and we have same same positions
vis-à-vis EU and with our region.
