Poetic Reflection on Light and Darkness
The earth was moonlit and clear-sighted, and darkness was upon
the face of the moon, and God’s wind blew over the face of the water.
And a day had hundreds and thousands upon it. So God willed
there to be light, and there was light.
And He saw upon it the dwelling place of light. He alternates for them between it
and its surroundings. When God knew that
the light was good, He separated the light from the darkness.

وبين حاشاه. فلما علم الله أن النور جيد فصّل بين النور والظلام.
