Saudi Mediation Efforts in Yemen Conflict

Of course, at first Saudi Arabia went to

Tehran to mediate with the Sana'a government

for a one-month truce, but it refused. Then

they said two weeks, and Sana'a refused.

Because Sana'a's demands are to end

the war and lift the blockade by both

sides. Therefore, the previous Iranian mediation failed.

And I believe this mediation will fail.

Why? Because the Saudi leadership denies reality.

Note that the Saudi leadership mobilized a broad

international military coalition and leads it

in its aggression against Yemen and blockade of Yemen, then they say, "We

are not a party to the conflict." Well, who are you? They say, "We're mediators," which is

illogical. They also deny the reality that ending the war and lifting

the blockade by both sides has become a shared interest between Yemen

and Saudi Arabia,

indeed, Saudi Arabia's interest is greater. Therefore, for us, in principle,

we welcome any mediation.
