Speech on Southern Liberation and Defense

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

God Almighty said, “March forth, whether lightly or heavily equipped,

and strive with your wealth and your lives in the cause of God.

That is better for you, if you only knew.”

God Almighty has spoken the truth, and prayers and peace be upon His noble Messenger.

O masses of our great southern people at home and abroad.

O valiant heroes of our Southern Armed Forces.

O defenders of land, honor, faith, and dignity.

I address you today at this pivotal moment

in the history of our people,

as we celebrate the sixty-third anniversary

of the glorious Fourteenth of October Revolution,

which began from the lofty peaks of the Radfan Mountains,

to express our pride and appreciation for that great revolution

and its men among the fathers and grandfathers

who wrote with their pure blood

the greatest victory in the history of the national liberation revolution.

O free men. O free women.

The rapid developments

our dear South is experiencing at this

pivotal stage in the life of our liberation revolution require

us to stand united behind our armed forces

and security forces,

and strengthen our social solidarity.

From this platform,

and based on the national responsibilities

you have entrusted us with, and given what

the supreme national interest of South Arabia requires,

we announce the following measures: We declare popular mobilization

in defense of the South and its national

liberation project, and the continuation of the national defense battle

against the Houthi militias and their Iranian

expansionist project, and all extremist groups that

target our people, their political entity,

and their armed forces throughout the territory of South

Arabia, within its borders prior to May 22,

1990. We call upon the masses of our

southern people, from Al Mahrah to Bab al-Mandab, and from Socotra to

Mayyun

to fully enlist, at the highest level of readiness,

at mobilization centers across all the governorates of South Arabia,

in accordance with procedures approved by the bodies entrusted

by us. We salute the masses of our southern people at

this solemn historic moment, matched only by

the moment the spark of the October Revolution was ignited, leading to the great rallying

At the million-strong general popular mobilization

to be hosted by the capital, Aden,

Hadramawt, Shabwah, Al Mahrah

and Socotra tomorrow, October 14.

We call on the great Arab tribes of the South

العربية العظيمة

to declare a state of popular mobilization throughout the regions of the South,

and prepare to answer the call to defend our homeland, the South,

side by side with our brave forces

that are fighting the battle for dignity across the fronts

of confrontation on Southern soil against the invading Houthi militias.

We also affirm

from this platform

that we are proceeding with our political path in accordance with the provisions of

the constitutional declaration and the political statement issued on

January 2,

2026, and the Southern National Charter,

and will continue our struggle at various

regional and international levels to secure the right

of our people to self-determination and restore their

fully sovereign, independent state. We renew

to our partners in the region and the international community

our steadfast commitment to the security of international navigation

and regional stability and combating terrorism,

Our forces will remain the trusted partner in promoting international security

and peace. From this standpoint, we call on

our brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the regional and international communities

to recognize the Constitutional Declaration

and the Political Statement

issued on January 2,

2026, as

a gateway to restoring stability to our country and the region.

We strongly condemn the Houthi terrorist attacks

that targeted civilian facilities

in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and reaffirm the importance of

a firm international stance

to confront the terrorism of those militias and their

bloody expansionist projects. On this dear occasion,

I salute the valiant fighters of our Southern armed forces

deployed on the border fronts in

Al-Subaiha, Bab al-Mandab, Kirsh, Al-Maysar,

Yafa, Abyan, Al-Dhalea, and Beihan.

I salute you as you fight valiantly to defend your land

and shed your pure blood in its defense

and sacrifice your noble souls,

Stand against hostile forces. Have faith in God's victory,

for you are making history at a moment when

the entire world is watching you,

and your people look to you with eyes full of

pride and honor. Salute to the people of the South

in all their groups and components, foremost

among them our people in Al-Sabiha, who

led the ranks in repelling aggression at the borders

of the South, and alongside the brave men of our

armed forces, formed an impregnable barrier upon which

the ambitions of the invading hordes were shattered. May mercy and eternal glory be upon our righteous martyrs.

May our valiant wounded recover swiftly. Freedom for our

heroic prisoners. Victory to the South and its people. Peace

be upon you, and God's mercy and blessings.
