Encouragement of Good Deeds

Do not belittle any good deed.

If you find a can in the road that could hurt people, remove it.

If you find someone who wants a ride, give them one.

Perhaps.

If you find a troubled person,

relieve their distress.

If you find someone who needs you to smile at them,

smile.

If you find someone you can intercede for, intercede.

Two rak'ahs in the forenoon. Do not think they are insignificant.

Zubayda, Harun al-Rashid's wife,

created a great project.

A truly great project.

She provided water for the pilgrims in Mina. Mina had no

water supply, so she made a long water channel for them

so the pilgrims could drink. It was called

Zubayda's Spring, famous in history. Zubayda's Spring.

Zubayda died.

Zubayda, may God have mercy on her, was seen in a dream,

and she was asked, “What did God do for you?”

She said, “He forgave me.”

“He forgave me.”

She was asked, “Was it because of the spring that

you made?” She said, “No, by God, not the spring.

And what is the spring? It was two rak'ahs in the middle of the night that I

used to keep up.”

You see?

Something you would never expect,

two rak'ahs in the middle of the night.

of the preachers had a vision in a dream,

and he is a well-known preacher.

He was asked, "What did God do for you?"

He laughed and said, "Up, up."

Up. Like this.

He was told, "Because of your prayer."

He said, "My prayer?

It was only because of riyals I gave in charity."

Glory be to God!

You do not know, my brother.

Do not belittle any good deed. Do every good deed.

Every time. Whenever you know of a good deed to be done,

do it. You lose nothing, for you do not know

which deed He will forgive you through.

Perhaps. We do not know.

Perhaps. Our Lord is Forgiving, and how Forgiving and Appreciative He is,

Appreciative.

I ask God to admit us to Paradise through this gathering.

I ask God

to admit us to Paradise through this very gathering, by His bounty,

generosity, and appreciation.

I ask God to reward us for this gathering.

I ask God to reward us

and bless us

and set right the rest of our days.

I ask God to keep us steadfast upon the Sunnah and make us love the

Sunnah.

May He help us spread the Sunnah and grant us to act upon knowledge.

Say amen. O God, we thank You

for granting us understanding of Your names, so increase us in understanding

knowledge, and action, O Lord of the Worlds. May blessings be upon

your Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
