How do you assess its launch? How do you assess its course? And where can it lead

Lebanon, which seeks,

by entering into direct negotiations with Israel, to end the war,

to achieve a ceasefire, and practically end the war? The basis of this path,

as I see it, is that the United States and Israel fully agree that

there is no turning back from intensifying pressure,

whether military pressure or political pressure, or pressure related

to sanctions, in order to dismantle the arsenal and weapon system

of Hezbollah. Therefore, whoever governs Lebanon cannot turn a blind eye to

this imminent, ongoing, and systematic reality, which Washington does not seem

to be backing down from in the slightest. In fact, this pressure will

increase from the United States, and indicators suggest that whatever

the course of

negotiations in the back channels between Washington and Tehran, the Americans

are determined to move forward with the process of encircling and

undermining Hezbollah in Lebanon. This matter is accompanied by a deep- seated

division in Lebanese society

taking on increasingly dangerous sectarian, confessional,

and regional dimensions. Even though this division is integrated

at the same time with an ambiguous scene, so to speak, where Hezbollah is inside the

government, and where there is the Amal- Hezbollah duo inside the state,

inside the apparatuses, and so on. And the US sanctions came

precisely in this direction, meaning that the Lebanese state's initiation of

negotiations as a state with the Israeli side does not negate another issue for

the Americans, which is that it is time for them, from their perspective,

to target those they consider

an extension of Hezbollah

from within the corridors and

apparatuses of the

Lebanese state.
