Amit Shah was accused of murder, and not just of any ordinary person,

but of Gujarat's Home Minister, Haren Pandya.

But the death of a judge changed everything.

Who was this judge?

In December 2014, Justice Brijgopal Harkishan Loya

went to Nagpur to attend the wedding of his colleague Sapna Joshi's daughter.

But as morning broke, at Justice Loya's family home,

a phone call was received, informing them that

Justice Loya was no more, having died of a heart attack.

And for context, Justice Loya was the very judge

who was hearing the case against Amit Shah.

Justice Loya had ordered Amit Shah to appear in court multiple times,

but he still did not show up.

In Caravan magazine, Justice Loya's sister, Anuradha Bhiyani, stated

that pressure was being put on Justice Loya

to deliver a verdict in favor of Amit Shah.

The Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, Mohit Shah, would talk about meeting Loya late at night in casual clothes

and would pressure him to deliver the verdict as quickly as possible.
