What is the point in having dental insurance if it literally covers nothing?
Even the dental hygienist that I had yesterday said that when people ask her
what dental insurance that she recommends she says none because it
might as well be self-pay. So I went to the dentist for the first time after
like five years yesterday and I was so scared because I know I have a lot of
problems and it turns out I need three root canals, three extractions, crowns
after my root canals and just fillings and I have like a really deep cavity on
one of my teeth that's causing me like earaches and migraines and so I was like
okay. My total estimate was $9,115 after like the discounts that they could
give me and my little bit that insurance covers but they had to refer me out for
two of the root canals and I guess my dental insurance covers no endo and it's
$1,474 so I was like well you might as well just cancel my
appointment there's no payment options so if you're poor you're just supposed
to suffer. I mean I'm only 30 so that means I'm just gonna call my dentist
tell them okay just extract the tooth instead of I'm just gonna extract the
tooth instead of having to root canal that means six extractions. I'm gonna lose six of my teeth or I'm just gonna stay in pain.
