Understanding Islamic Prayer Practices

God is Greatest. Glory be to my Lord, the Most High, glory be to my Lord

the Most High, glory be to my Lord, the Most High. Many of our Muslim brothers do not

know what to say in their prostration.

They say, “Glory be to my Lord, the Most High,” three times, then after that, they remain silent

and do not know what to say. So today, I am going to advise you and tell you the Prophet’s supplication

that he, peace and blessings be upon him, would consistently recite in his

prostration. But I ask you, by God, to share this

clip as widely as possible. Why? So that we may revive the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be

upon him. And so that you may receive two rewards, God willing,

for whoever guides to good is like the one who does it, as authentically reported from the Prophet. In the name of God, let us begin.

When he, peace and blessings be upon him, prostrated, after saying, “Glory be to my

Lord, the Most High,” three times, he would say, “O God, to You I have prostrated, and in You

I have believed, and to You I have submitted. My face has prostrated to the One who created it

and fashioned it, and opened its hearing and sight by His power and strength.

Blessed is God, the Best of creators.” So what are you waiting for, brother, to share it?
