Good evening. There is no more outrageous policy of Chief of Staff Zamir

than sending soldiers to prison

after they simply failed to return to Gaza.

Soldiers who went through the worst of experiences, who served there for months,

lost friends,

one of them returned from a severe injury to fight,

the army insists on sending them to prison.

The matter was handled sensitively and in accordance with orders, the IDF's response stated.

This is sensitivity on the level of the IDF in '73 investigating

our prisoners of war who returned from Egypt.

The IDF views with severity, the response said,

refusing an order, especially during combat.

This is refusing an order?

All those who spread videos boasting of killing and thuggery,

contrary to orders,

didn't they disobey orders?

And who the hell is the mental health officer who met them?

He ruled cursorily.

Right? They're fit for duty.

So now is this what we want?

Soldiers who enter Gaza

out of fear of going to prison?

The era of mission, volunteerism, and the just war is over.

It's time for detention.
