This is a memorial site for one of the most sad and tragic events of the October 7th, 2023 attacks. Here, the night before, thousands of partygoers had come to dance through the night at a music festival. Then at 6:29 AM, rockets flew through the sky, the music stopped, and what unfolded were scenes straight out of a horror film.
Hamas gunmen had surrounded the site and prevented people from leaving. Many of the partygoers were killed at point-blank range. At this memorial site, you can see the faces of the people who were killed that day and read a little bit about them. Today, three years after those tragic events,
their relatives and friends have come here to light candles and remember the ones they lost. Something very, very, very bad happened here. And no, we are not the bad guys of the world.
We are the good guys, and we are the victims. I'm a different person now, I think, than then. How are you different?
I'm just not the same person, you know? I promised to myself that I'm gonna live my life the best that I can.
