I came here today with the Minister of Defense, with the Deputy Chief of Staff,

with the Head of Northern Command, with the division commander,

Norkin, with the commanders you see here, with the soldiers in the field.

I spoke with the brigade commanders who are now inside the territory,

and when I hear them and I hear also the soldiers, some of whom are here behind me,

there is an immense fighting spirit here.

From here, they are managing the battle against Hezbollah in the north,

and I must tell you that there are very impressive results here.

Our forces crossed the Litani, went up to the commanding heights,

we are also operating in Beirut, also operating in the Beqaa,

across the entire front, and soundly defeating Hezbollah. And when I say this,

it is not just an empty statement. The brigade commanders tell me,

as do the soldiers, that in every contact with them, in every encounter,

we both eliminate Hezbollah and put them to flight, they are on the run.

And this spirit is what

gives us these achievements. I salute you. Guys, you are lions.

You have lion- like commanders,

and you are proving the strength of the spirit of the Israel Defense Forces.
