We really wanted to celebrate this moment with
our people, but even we don't have access, internet
access to talk with them and we don't know how
they get the news. And also this is not their
priority anymore because, you know, we are as
Iranians, we have so many other priorities right
now. And we hope for better future and peace
for our country. When we started this, um, when
we started making Cutting Through Rocks, we
did not envision that this would be an eight-year
journey with a lot of ups and downs. There were
a lot of moments where we weren't sure if we
would ever finish the film. But the fact that
we made it, we are here, um, we also, uh, got
to know each other through the making of this
film and we got married while making it. So
this is really a, uh, celebration of our lifetime
and also our project. And it, it really means
a lot to us to be here, right here, right now,
to be standing by the rights of the ordinary
people, our people.
