Critique of Quranic Interpretation

The problem the الأمة fell into was presenting

the Qur'an as a commonplace book, a book no longer connected

to its counterparts, the Prophet's Household, peace be upon him and his family,

and thus the Qur'an became blind. Not merely a book

deficient, but blind. We find oppressors

benefiting from the Qur'an in their oppression of people.

We find criminals benefiting from the Qur'an in their crimes.

We find corrupters benefiting from the Qur'an in their corruption.
