Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy thwarted an attempt by two ships to

cross the Strait of Hormuz.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations said that two boats belonging to the

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps fired shots in the direction of two ships,

confirming that their crews were fine and that no injuries were recorded.

The TankerTrackers website, which specializes in tracking ship movements,

reported from radio recordings on marine channel sixteen that the IRGC Navy

forced the two ships to turn back westward, out of the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the data, one of the two ships was a very large crude carrier flying

the Indian flag and carrying about two million barrels of Iraqi oil.
