Israel is seeking to impose new facts on the ground here in the West Bank.

Seizure operations of Palestinian land and the displacement of Palestinians from

their homes and their land in

the Sanur settlement to the south of the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank.

Since the early morning hours,

the Israeli army has been moving in caravans to rebuild this settlement

in preparation for bringing settlers back after twenty years since the evacuation,

following the issuance of the Disengagement Plan

that was issued by the Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, which stipulated that

Israel evacuate settlements in areas of the West Bank.

The Israeli occupation re- legalized this settlement in addition

to 19 settlements in the West Bank. Under this plan, there will be construction

of 126 settlement units as part of the first phase, which the Israeli occupation is

working on in parallel with a comprehensive demographic change for this area.

Yossi Dagan, the head of the Council of Settlements in the northern West Bank,

said that what is happening is The final stage of resettlement in these areas,

which comes in parallel with an escalation noticeable in the pace of settlement

in areas of the West Bank, through which Israel

seeks to impose new facts on the ground and extend Israeli sovereignty over it.
