Response to Terror Attack in Israel

When the terror attack began on October 7th,

Yair Golan put on his uniform and immediately headed to the Gaza envelope.

I get a call from my sister. She tells me,

Listen, I have the coordinates of some people out in the field. Can you help rescue them?

I tell her, "Give me the coordinates."

Go get them, what could happen?

During the first hours and the following day, Golan helped rescue civilians from the area.

One of them was Amir, the son of journalist Nir Gontarz.

I tell him that my son is hiding in an orchard for several hours,

and this man, a general, a hero, tells me, "Send me the location and I'll bring him to you."

And he got to him.

I saw so many bodies from both sides of the road,

but the most horrific scene was the location of the Nova Festival.

I just want to say one thing,

A terrible disaster has struck us.

We are a strong and optimistic people,

and we are focused on only one thing: not revenge, but rebuilding.
