Iran, the Saudi Embassy and Claims About Obama and ISIS

The thing I see out there just happened today in Tehran.

They're burning down the Saudi embassy.

You see that. Now, what that is,

is Iran wants to take over Saudi Arabia.

They always have. They want the oil. OK?

They've always wanted that.

They have a bunch of dishonest people.

They've created ISIS.

Hillary Clinton created ISIS with Obama.

Created with Obama.

So if you think if we walked away from this,

didn't give them money today,

it would be worse for us from a security standpoint.

I do. I do.

We're building a relationship that just did not exist.

I said in our last trip, when you were with me,

that we had a huge trust deficit,

in part because the United States had,

to be fair, we had helped to create the problem we're now fighting.

How? Because when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan,

we had this brilliant idea that we were going to come to Pakistan

and create a force of Mujahideen,

equip them with Stinger missiles and everything else,

to go after the Soviets inside Afghanistan.

And we were successful. The Soviets left Afghanistan.

And then we said, great, goodbye,

leaving these trained people who were fanatical in Afghanistan and Pakistan,

leaving them well-armed, creating a mess,

frankly, that at the time we didn't really recognize.

We were just so happy to see the Soviet Union fall,

and we thought, OK, fine. We're OK now.

Everything's going to be so much better.

Now you look back, the people we're fighting today,

we were supporting in the fight against the Soviets.

We also have a history of kind of moving in and out of Pakistan.

I mean, let's remember here,

the people we are fighting today,

we funded 20 years ago.

And we did it because we were locked in this struggle with the Soviet Union.

They invaded Afghanistan, and we did not want to see them control Central Asia.

And we went to work.

In 2008, something unbelievable happened for us in the FBI.

We were getting lots of rumors about this high-level asset that

worked for several intelligence agencies at the same time.

He worked for the Saudi Intelligence Service.

He worked for the CIA.

And he was being developed as a political asset in Chicago, Illinois.

He was not even a United States citizen.

But it was said that he was a student visa and

that he was a national from another country.

In 2008, everyone in the intelligence structure found out who he was.

It was this individual whose name I don't like to say

who became president in 2008 of the United States.

And I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States.

The office of President of the United States.

One of his code names was Renegade.

His real name was Barry Sartoro.

But he adopted a different name for his political career.

When they ran him for president,

the cabal, basically,

this was the culmination of so many of their plans for so many years.

His mission was to destroy the United States from within.

One institution at a time.

One of the things he did, of course, was he defunded our military.

He brought down the resources that they got.

But then, he ordered our military,

in many, many instances and in various theaters,

to attack our allies and to defend and supply and help our enemies.

That's exactly how he created ISIS.

He would say publicly that the military were going to bomb our enemies,

but then he would have the military actually bomb enemies of ISIS,

our allies.

He gave ISIS funding and equipment by basically ordering our military

to take equipment into a certain theater and then abandon it.

And the commanders would say, that's ridiculous,

we'd just be handing that stuff over to ISIS.

And the president's office would say,

don't question orders, just follow your orders.

Intelligence officials in Pakistan say a local commander from

the terrorist network Islamic State has admitted receiving funds transferred via the U.S.

He made the confession while being interrogated.

Arteez Ghani's Chichkan has the story.

The Pakistani police arrested an ISIS commander,

Yusuf al-Salafi.

And sources told Pakistan's Express Tribune that the commander confessed

to receiving funds routed through the United States to

recruit young people to fight in Syria.

Al-Salafi reportedly said he received around $600 for every recruit

he sent to Syria and that he was working with the support of an imam.

The paper quotes one source saying

the U.S. has been condemning the Islamic State activities,

but unfortunately has not been able to stop the funding of these organizations,

which is being routed through the U.S.

This report raises so many questions.

First of all, is al-Salafi telling the truth?

If he is, does this make U.S. banks complicit in funding terrorists?

And another one, were U.S. authorities aware of this?

It's no secret that just a little over a year ago,

fighting ISIS was not a priority for the U.S.

Washington was focused on trying to remove Bashar Assad from power.

We now hear that President Obama will ask Congress for $5.3 billion

to equip and train Iraqi soldiers and quote-unquote moderate Syrian rebels

to fight the Islamic State militants.

Over the past few years, Washington has been much criticized for

not having a good idea about who exactly is doing the fighting

on the side of the opposition in Syria.

And many are now concerned that some part of this new package

of funding and weapons could end up in the hands of ISIS.

As I've said before, this aspect of our strategy was moving too slowly,

but the fall of Ramadi has galvanized the Iraqi government.

So with the additional steps I ordered last month,

we're speeding up training of ISIL forces,

including volunteers from Sunni tribes in Anbar province.
