But a few days ago when I was dispatched on a mission, the moment I arrived,

flames were shooting out of the windows,

the house had exploded there was a woman whose hands were gone from the wrists,

she had no nose it had melted in the fire,

it was so hot she grabbed my clothes with her wrists and said“ whatever you do,

get my kid out” I went inside the house,

I searched everywhere I could not find the kid,

I was coming out through the front door,

it was so hot, the sound I could hear my own hair,

it was sizzling I saw the kid was behind the door,

I scooped the kid up, and as soon as I touched the kid,

they thought I was their mother they said to me,“ Mom,”

I picked them up and came out on the stairway, the kid’s head dropped,

they died in my arms

I was too ashamed to bring the kid out and hand them over to their mother,

I realized the mother had

opened the gas valve because she could not afford to support herself and the kid

then she had regretted it, you hear the sound of everything

that happens in the city over the radio network before,

every month one person would commit suicide, now someone has a broken heart…

now I am seeing five people a day choosing to die by their own hand
