Among the signs of envy

is intense fear. And intense fear

may come from an incident that happened to a person, or it may be from envy.

Its remedy is that you recite

the verses about fear. If he is little, a child and nothing else,

you put him on your left thigh,

“ So, Ahmad,” and then you put your hand behind his back.

Light tapping on the chest. We say,“ Do not be afraid, do not be afraid,

do not be afraid,” and you blow lightly on the face and chest,

with the chest uncovered.

“ Take it and do not be afraid, and do not be afraid,

we will restore it to its former state.”

You recite each verse three times, and blow on the face and chest.

Then,“ For the security of Quraysh,

their security in the journeys of winter and summer,

let them worship the Lord of this House,

who has fed them against hunger and granted them safety from fear.

And granted them safety from fear,”

tapping on the chest,“ and granted them safety from fear,

and granted them safety from fear,”

then you blow on the face and chest.

Then you recite the verses of protection, “ For him are successive

angels before him and behind him who protect him by the command of Allah.

And We have guarded it from every rebellious devil,” then you blow on the face.

“ There is no soul without a guardian over it. So Allah is the best Protector,

and He is the Most Merciful of the merciful.” And then, say,“ O Allah,

grant safety from terror,

O Allah, grant safety from terror, O Allah, grant safety from terror,” and blow.

If there is water,

blow onto the water, then take a little in your mouth

and blow it over the face and chest with the water, and drink the rest.

The fear will disappear completely, God willing.
