Defending the Jizan Dialect and Culture

Someone said that to me, guys, in a comment.

He says it should be Jizan.

They should speak the standard dialect so we can understand them.

They shouldn't speak the village dialect.

The dialect... Uh, I don't know what he's saying, he's insulting the dialect.

He doesn't like the Jizan dialect.

He thinks all of Jizan has one dialect.

Jizan has a thousand dialects.

And secondly, why should we speak the standard dialect? What's wrong with our dialect? What's wrong with the village dialect?

I'm a village girl, and I'm proud of my dialect.

What's wrong with the village dialect? Or what's wrong with the Ji-Ji-Jizan dialect in the first place?

That we should change it.

Why are we, specifically, being fought, our dialect's under attack, our customs too?

Nobody likes them.

Why don't you like us, anyway?

And who are you that we should please you? Jizan is bigger

than

some trivial celebrity who trends off it. And bigger than someone

inadequate who criticizes it.

Anyone who criticizes Ji-Jizan is inadequate. Anyone who criticizes Jizan

is inadequate.

So we're not

here to explain what Jizan has done for you, or what makes Jizan special

about it.

Go look it up and see what you're criticizing.

You're criticizing the greatest region in Saudi Arabia and in

the world.

Jizan is pride. Jizan is not to be criticized. Jizan is pride.

Pride for every person from Jizan, pride for Saudi Arabia, and pride for the world.

We have heroes on the border who die every day as martyrs.

Defending their country. I-I-I mean, on his own, on his own, he defends

his country. On his own, he offers his life as a sacrifice for his country.

He fears nothing.

Jizan has scholars. Jizan has poets. Jizan has

doctors. Jizan has inventors. Jizan and Jizan. What can I tell you?

What can I list for you? What can I show you? You come to criticize a dialect.

But there is a saying here: every distinguished person is fought.
