Tragic Impact of Houthi Violence in Taiz

Everyone knows the extent of the pain that has befallen Taiz.

On the shoulders of pain, suffering, and oppression.

and her female relatives

as she carries the bodies of her husband and daughter with them.

They were killed by the terrorist Houthi militia in shelling that targeted

their home in Al-Adn village in the

Al-Nidan area, Sabir Al-Mawad District, in

Taiz Governorate.

The citizen Muhammad Qasim Ali Abdullah Al-Naqib was martyred,

aged 65, along with his daughter,

the martyred Mushira Muhammad, a Qur'an teacher,

age 35, as a result of shelling

by the treacherous Houthis on their home.

This mother and other women are shown

carrying her daughter's body, while others carry the body

of her husband to Al-Thawra General Hospital in Taiz,

which is under

a suffocating siege by the Houthi militia. This

mother and those residents were forced to carry the girl's body

along a rugged road amid

the difficulties faced by Yemenis—the Yemeni citizens in

Taiz as a result of the Houthi terrorist siege

and ongoing aggression.

Urdu, and every language in the world, recounting the crimes

of Houthi terrorism. Journalist Fares Al-Humairi posted this video,

saying, “A Yemeni mother carries her daughter's body on her back

after the Houthis killed her along with her elderly father in the village of Al-Adan

in the Sabir district of Taiz, and targeted the ambulance

that arrived to retrieve the victims.” Faced with the horror of the tragedy,

the mother found no one to carry her daughter but her own shoulders,

so she carried her and walked on, in a scene in which a mother encapsulates

The pain of millions of Yemenis and the anguish of the entire city of Taiz.

Abdulrahman Al-Baydani posted this video, saying,

I do not know why everything in Taiz becomes

different. A funeral becomes resistance. Grief

becomes a revolution. Perhaps because Taiz is an idea before it is

a city on Mount Sabir, where the sky is closer to God

and the terraces hang like a stairway to heaven.

A funeral passes by, but it is unlike all other funerals. There are no men

in it, no procession, no wooden coffin.

A mother carries her daughter on her shoulders. Journalist Sawan

Shaher says, “A clip that drains the soul,

that leaves you frozen before the question of how

the tragedy of loss, steadfastness,

and the absence of men came together in this mother's heart. This is the summary of our story with

the Houthis, who kill children, make mothers' hearts bleed,

and drain fathers in battles, battles that

nations have moved beyond for centuries. A mother, patient,

from patient Taiz, carries her daughter's body after

she was targeted by Houthi shells.”

Saudi academic Fawwaz Al-Laaboun says, Fawwaz

says, “The Houthi rabble kill Yemen's free women.”

the martyr on her back after she and her father were martyred

in a Houthi bombardment that targeted their home in one of the villages of Sabir

south of Taiz City."

Houthi brazenness with great courage and teaches them

the harshest lessons, the blood of the afflicted, the harshest lessons, the blood
