I am satisfied that today, through lok adalats and pre-litigation settlements, millions of disputes are being resolved quickly, amicably, and at minimal cost.

Under the Legal Aid Defence Counsel System launched by the Government of India, in just three years around eight hundred thousand criminal cases have been disposed of.

These efforts by the government have ensured access to justice for the country's poor, Dalits, victims, oppressed, and deprived.

Over the past seven years our focus has consistently been on Ease of Doing Business and Ease of Living, and with determination we have been taking various steps.

For businesses, more than 40,000 unnecessary compliances have been removed.

Through the Jan Vishwas Act, more than 3,400 legal provisions have been decriminalized.

More than 1,500 irrelevant and outdated laws have been repealed.

Decades-old laws have now been reformed by the Indian justice system.

And friends, as I have said before, Ease of Doing Business and Ease of Living are possible only when Ease of Justice is also ensured.

In recent years, many measures have also been taken to strengthen Ease of Justice.

And going forward, we will move faster in this direction.
