India's Economic Status and Challenges

This is the real picture of India's Amrit Kaal. This month, on the first of July,

2026, the World Bank removed Sri Lanka, Vietnam and

the Philippines from the group of lower-middle-income countries

and placed them in the group of upper-middle-income countries. It simply means that the World

Bank says these countries are becoming richer. The World Bank

says these countries' per capita incomes have improved greatly. For instance,

in Vietnam, one person earns four thousand nine hundred seventy dollars a year, that is,

474,000 rupees. Whereas the Philippines'

per capita income reached 4,850 dollars, that is 462

thousand rupees. And in Sri Lanka, one person earns four thousand six

hundred seventy dollars a year, that is 445 thousand rupees.

Whereas India's per capita income is 2,800 dollars, that is two

A person here earns 167,000 rupees a year, which comes to 22

thousand rupees a month. And this is the average income, which also includes Adani

and Ambani's income. If the real per capita income were calculated,

it would not come to more than seven, eight, or ten thousand rupees in India.

Just think about it, a small country like Sri Lanka has moved ahead of us,

whereas during Dr. Manmohan Singh's time, we ourselves used to provide it with financial aid.

Today, its per capita income has become nearly double India's.

Even Vietnam, which was once considered a land of poverty and war,

has moved far ahead of India, and the Philippines has also entered the group of upper-middle-

income countries. But this “world leader” country with a population of 1.4 billion

has been stuck in the group of lower-middle-income countries for the past 20 years. During Manmohan Singh's tenure,

there was hope that

India will soon reach the group of upper-middle-income countries and then move into the ranks of rich

countries. But in 2014, the people of this country shot themselves in the foot

and made an illiterate man, a fourth-grade dropout, the country's

prime minister. And today, 12 years after he became prime minister,

look at the conditions within India. India's national per capita

income is only 2,800 dollars, whereas within India itself, Tamil Nadu's per capita income is

6,500 dollars, UP's is 1,400 dollars, and Bihar's is only

950 dollars. That means that in Bihar, a person earns only 90,000

rupees a year, which is around 8,000 rupees per month. Now

think about it. With 8,000 rupees, what can he possibly manage, what can he eat, how can he educate his

children, how can he pay for his parents' treatment? That is,

That the work is complete. But this country's self-absorbed Prime Minister keeps handing this country

the slogan of making it a five-trillion-dollar economy to cover up his inadequacy, his

incompetence. He never tells people that none of these things

are the true measure of any country's development. It is not GDP, but

per capita income, the availability of employment. The quality of

education, the quality of health, the quality of life, a good life depends

on all of these. One thing is certain, as long as an uneducated man like Narendra Modi

remains this country's Prime Minister, this country will keep moving backward.

Whether to take this country forward or backward, the
