The scrutiny process carried out by the electoral authorities is practically concluded.
I must thank the thousands of witnesses, lawyers, and people who, in the case of the Historic Pact and the Alliance,
have participated as observers and participants in the electoral security operation.
As candidate of the Historic Pact and the Alliance for Life, as I announced in due time and at this stage of the scrutiny,
I have decided to accept the result arising from said process, which indicates that Abelardo de la Espriella is the new President of the Republic.
I do so as an act of democratic responsibility. I do so to contribute to coexistence, peace, and dialogue among Colombians.
I do it because we deeply believe in democracy and because we are convinced that political differences must be resolved
through citizen participation, respect for institutions, and public deliberation.

El proceso de escrutinio adelantado por las autoridades electorales se encuentra prácticamente concluido.
