The yellow concrete cube, a new Israeli tool to impose its will by force.

It is not just a sign to allow or forbid, because here the violation

costs you your life. In the recent period,

the Israeli occupation army has moved these cubes tens of

meters into the depth of the Strip,

which has left this young man and his family living on the yellow line of fire,

east of Al- Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City. When this cube became a heavy

neighbor that deprived them of their home.

We come here in the mornings only, after noon,

in the afternoons no person stays here.

And sometimes quadcopters prevent anyone from entering at all,

and sometimes the tank comes down here then goes back, it comes down and goes back.

And we do not know what to do,

we do not know whether to sit outside or stay in our home,

and we do not know what to do, we have been displaced here.

We were displaced to the south and came back here to the house,

and we stayed with no water and no… We stayed and then what… We came back again

here to the sea, sitting, and that is the whole life that is here.

Wide areas to which some life had slowly returned over the past weeks,

then became empty of their residents again after they were forced to flee once more.

Some aspects of life that had started to return were shut down again.

Man, we’ve been going back for a month, thirty,

forty days we’ve been going back. And here we left again, this is three

stages we’re going through, leaving.

In the face of the Israeli policies of imposing facts on the ground,

the Palestinian resistance factions find themselves facing complex choices,

and they do not hide their fear that Israel will go

beyond mere violations to undermining the full cease- fire agreement.

The continued daily shifting of the yellow line westward by the occupation

army is a serious and flagrant violation, especially since this

shifting is accompanied by large- scale displacement of citizens in these

populated neighborhoods,

and is also followed by massive demolition

of existing buildings or what remains of citizens’ homes. This requires a clear

and decisive stance from the mediators to move seriously to stop these violations.

And obliging the occupation to do what is required of it in the cease-

fire agreement. More than 60%

of the area of the Strip lies behind the yellow line. Before the war,

it was inhabited by two million people, who now carry the status of displaced.

Israel excludes

it from the cease- fire agreement,

so it resumes bombing it and blowing up its homes

around the clock. The yellow line writhes inside Gaza like a snake,

biting off more land and forcing more residents to flee.
