Muhammad ibn Ishaq ibn Khuzaymah, may Allah the

Almighty have mercy on him,

says:

He

says,"

I do not know of anyone on Earth more knowledgeable

than Muhammad ibn Jarir."

He says," I do not know of anyone on Earth more knowledgeable than

Muhammad ibn Jarir."

This Ibn Khuzaymah is nicknamed the Imam of Imams.

When this statement comes from Ibn Khuzaymah,

it does not come out of emotion; no, he knows what he is saying. He

said," I do not know of anyone on the face of the Earth more knowledgeable than

Muhammad ibn Jarir."

Ibn Kathir, the Damascene Hafiz,

may Allah have mercy on him, Abu al- Fida, What does he say? He says," He was one of

the Imams of Islam

in knowledge and action,

according to the Book of Allah Almighty and the Sunnah

of His Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him." The historian of Islam,

Al- Dhahabi, the Hafiz,

says when writing the biography of Ibn Jarir: He says," The venerable Imam,

the exegete, Abu Ja'far, author of the brilliant works."

Then he said," One of the major, reliable Imams of Islam."

Yaqut al- Hamawi says about al- Tabari, he says," Abu Ja'far al- Tabari,

the scholar of Hadith," " The jurist, the Quran reciter, the historian,

the well- known and famous."

As for Al- Khatib al- Baghdadi,

he said about Abu Ja'far al- Tabari,"

He was one of the leading scholars."

" His word was used to judge, and his opinion was sought due to his knowledge

and virtue." " He had mastered sciences that no one else of his era

shared with him." "

He was a memorizer of God's Book,

knowledgeable in all recitations, insightful in meanings,

and a jurist in Quranic rulings."

" He was knowledgeable in the Sunnah and its chains, the authentic and weak,

the abrogating and abrogated." "

He was familiar with the sayings of the Companions,

Successors, and those after them,

and knew the history and stories of people."

He also said of him elsewhere:" He was trustworthy, a memorizer, truthful,

and a leader in exegesis."

That is why, of course,

when people ask who the Sheikh of Exegetes is, who?

Ibn Jarir al- Tabari,

he is called the Sheikh of Exegetes.

He says:" He was trustworthy, a memorizer, truthful, a leader in exegesis,

an authority in jurisprudence, consensus, and disagreement." " A scholar of

history and the days of people, knowledgeable in recitations,

language, and other fields."

Al- Qifti says, while writing the biography and speaking

of Ibn Jarir al- Tabari: He says:" The complete scholar, jurist, reciter,

grammarian, linguist, memorizer, chronicler, and master of all sciences."

" No one like him was seen in his fields, and he authored major works."
