How are you, Javier?
Once again from the capital of enlightened trickery.
How are you?
Very well.
Listen to me,
I don't like how this obsession with the Julián Álvarez thing is going, do you?
Is that so?
We don't like it.
It looks like this is taking an ugly turn.
For the team, it's a killer.
Look, the truth is I have to tell you one thing,
that I think what is happening in the last few hours,
although not unexpected and already announced,
doesn't make it hurt any less.
The truth is that the news I can give you
is that Julián Álvarez has informed Atlético de Madrid
in a meeting a few days ago
that between leaving and staying,
he prefers to leave, and if Atleti wants to sell him,
he prefers to go to Barcelona.
But if they don't want to sell him to Barcelona,
he will stay at Atleti, play, and fulfill his contract without any problem.
Julián hasn't gone on strike, nor is he putting pressure,
nor is he going to the World Cup with the intention of not returning.
I don't think that has happened.
He has an active contract, and if Atleti decides not to sell him,
he will return and play for Atleti.
But it is true that Julián has already told Atleti
that if they want to sell him, if he can choose,
his priority is Barcelona.
